Before You Read
These terms apply to all services carried out by Nirand at 88 Charoen Krung Road, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500. By leaving a timepiece with us or submitting a service request, you agree to these terms. If you have any questions before proceeding, please contact us — we are happy to clarify anything.
1. About Nirand
Nirand is a watch repair workshop located at 88 Charoen Krung Road, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand. We provide horological services to private clients who wish to have their timepieces serviced, adjusted, or restored. These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Nirand, whether in person or arranged through this website.
2. Services Offered
We currently offer the following services:
- Quartz Movement Care — Battery replacement, seal inspection, and movement testing (฿3,500)
- Bracelet and Strap Fitting — Sizing, link adjustment, spring bar replacement, and refitting (฿4,900)
- Vintage Movement Revival — Full mechanical service including cleaning, lubrication, and parts sourcing for older pieces (฿7,600)
All prices are in Thai Baht and inclusive of standard parts. Where non-standard or sourced parts are required, we will advise you of any additional cost before proceeding. Prices are correct as of the date shown above and may be revised from time to time.
3. Intake and Assessment
When you bring a timepiece to us, we will carry out a brief visual assessment and document the condition of the piece. A written intake record will be prepared. You will be asked to confirm that you are the owner of the piece or have authorisation from the owner to have it serviced.
If during the service we discover issues that require additional work or parts not covered by the quoted price, we will pause and contact you before proceeding. We will not carry out work beyond the agreed scope without your approval.
4. Quotations
Initial quotations provided by phone, in person, or through the website are indicative and based on a description of the watch. A firm quotation can only be given following physical examination of the piece. We will confirm pricing in writing before commencing any service.
Quotations are valid for 14 days from the date of issue. After this period, a revised assessment may be necessary.
5. Turnaround Times
Estimated completion times are given in good faith based on current workshop capacity. They are not contractual commitments. Factors such as parts sourcing, complexity discovered during service, or workshop volume may affect timelines. We will keep you informed of progress and notify you promptly if a delay arises.
Typical turnaround times are as follows:
- Quartz Movement Care: 3–5 working days
- Bracelet and Strap Fitting: 1–2 working days
- Vintage Movement Revival: 10–21 working days, depending on parts availability
6. Collection and Uncollected Watches
You will be notified when your timepiece is ready for collection. We ask that pieces be collected within 30 days of the completion notice. After 60 days, we reserve the right to charge a modest storage fee. Timepieces left uncollected for more than 12 months, with no response to reasonable attempts to contact you, may be treated as abandoned property in accordance with Thai civil law.
We will always make reasonable efforts to reach you before taking any further step.
7. Payment
Payment is due on collection of the piece. We accept cash (Thai Baht) and standard bank transfer. We do not accept payment in advance as a condition of receiving a watch, though a deposit may be agreed upon for significant parts orders or complex restoration work.
If you wish to dispute any part of an invoice, please raise this at the point of collection so it can be discussed and resolved.
8. Care of Your Timepiece
We treat every piece with care and apply appropriate handling procedures throughout the service process. We use tools and materials suited to the watch type and age. Watches are stored securely on our premises while in our care.
We do not carry out work that we consider likely to cause damage. If a piece is in a condition where service would pose a significant risk of harm, we will advise you of this before proceeding and give you the option to take the piece back without charge.
9. Liability
While we take every reasonable precaution, Nirand's liability in relation to any service is limited to the cost of that service. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions that become apparent during or after service, for the residual value of a timepiece, or for sentimental value.
We maintain appropriate insurance for watches in our care. In the unlikely event of loss or significant damage caused by our error, we will work with you in good faith to reach a fair resolution.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other matter that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Vintage and Sentimental Pieces
We understand that some watches carry significant personal meaning. When you bring us such a piece, please let us know. This allows us to take particular care in communication and handling, and to set expectations carefully around service risks, parts availability, and timelines.
We are experienced with older mechanical movements and approach restoration work thoughtfully. However, we cannot guarantee the availability of period-correct parts, and in some cases the best outcome may be careful conservation rather than full restoration.
11. Warranty on Work Carried Out
We stand behind our workmanship. If a fault arises that is directly attributable to work we have carried out, we will investigate and address it at no additional charge, provided the watch has been used normally and has not been exposed to damage or misuse after collection.
Our standard workmanship period is 90 days from the date of collection. This covers the specific work performed and does not extend to unrelated components or to normal wear.

14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising from these terms or from a service engagement that cannot be resolved amicably will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies to all service engagements entered into after the date shown at the top. We recommend reviewing this page periodically if you are a returning client.
